Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio Review
After looking and searching around for information regarding CB radios and looking for another radio for one of my vehicles thinking and scrutinizing if I should start buying the latest available models, I decided on this little number the Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio once again for a couple of reasons. I was looking for a CB that would fit the dash above my standard radio as I drive a Jeep and the CB needed to look integrated and nice. A friend of mine that belongs to the same Jeep club as I do advised me that there is not enough depth in the empty slot provided above the radio and advised him that I have already owned one of these and I am sure it will work once again in my latest Jeep.
I was skeptical about it at first as the radio is small, but still decided to buy it and thought to myself, as it is so small I could easily hide it from view as I live in a potentially high-risk area where break-ins occur quite often.
A great and reliable CB Radio
As explained previously the Cobra 75WXST is very small and when I do not use it, I slide it under the front seat and am completely hidden and do not bother passengers when riding with me. Another benefit that I only discovered later by using it for the first time is that everything is available to use on the handset and you can adjust it while driving. After using it for a while, you get to know the buttons and do not require taking your eyes off the road. I do not need to bend over to the radio to change channels or set the volume causing distractions.
Additionally, I have used a six-foot magnetic mount antenna and can get about 11-mile signal and mainly use it on the highway. Even the weather band is great as I have driven from Florida to Arizona and picking up the weather stations everywhere, I go.
Installing the Cobra 75 WX ST is fast and easy and only requires a couple of tools, the antenna, and your skills and is limited to low-power broadcasting at four watts or less. It provides you with the required power allowed by law and provides you with enough range.
